• How do Travel Advisors get paid?

 Travel advisors are paid in two different ways, in planning fees and commissions. Planning fees are charged and paid by the client at the start of the trip-planning process. These fees help protect the time and research advisors invest in planning your trip. The second way is by commissions paid directly from our hotel, tour, airline, and insurance partners. • Can you book only hotels?

Of course! We are happy to book only hotel travel and do not charge a planning fee to do so. We will work with our partner hotels to give you VIP status and added exclusive perks such as complimentary breakfast, potential upgrade and on-site credit to be used during your stay. * exclusive perks can only be added by hotels we partner with.

• What is the minimum trip cost to book a trip?

​While we understand that every trip is an investment, we want to ensure that ALISIO TRAVEL is the right fit for what we're looking for! Our trip minimum is $3,500 for a custom trip itinerary, this does not include airfare. However, we can book hotels only for occasions such as business travel or weddings.

• How far in advance should I start planning my trip?

Our recommended timeline varies by destination, time of year, and domestic/international travel. For international travel, we recommend starting the conversation 7-9 months before the desired travel date. Domestic travel is much more flexible and can be organized 3-4 months​ out. However, it is never too early and it's usually not too late! We would never want you to feel intimidated by a set timeline.

• Can you book rental cars? 

Yes! We can organize all aspects of your trip - from rental cars to insurance, we can help with it all. ​

• Can you book using miles or points?

As Travel Advisors we do not book clients travel using miles or points. However, we understand these are valuable and may be available to you. You are more than welcome to explore this option on your own and we can add these elements to your trip itinerary.

• Do you book group travel?

At ALISIO TRAVEL we do book "leisure" group travel and may book event travel on a case-by-case basis. For group travel of 6 or more people, we omit the flat rate planning fee and charge $50 - 65 per person based on group size.
